Who We Are

At East Coast Elder Law, we believe that legal guidance should be as compassionate as it is comprehensive. Led by Shannon Laymon-Pecoraro, our firm is dedicated to serving seniors, individuals with special needs, and their families with dignity, respect, and genuine care throughout life's most important transitions.

Our Story

East Coast Elder Law was born from Shannon's deeply personal journey that began long before her legal career. As a high school student, Shannon formed meaningful connections with individuals in the special needs community that would forever change her perspective and eventually shape her professional path. Those early experiences revealed to Shannon the unique challenges faced by families caring for loved ones with special needs—the complex legal hurdles, the financial planning concerns, and the emotional weight of ensuring long-term care and protection. After pursuing her legal education, Shannon expanded her focus to include the broader elder law community, recognizing that many of the same principles of compassionate advocacy and comprehensive planning were essential for older adults facing healthcare decisions, long-term care needs, and estate planning concerns.
